What's the meaning of the name Retro 97?
Quite simple: three concepts have been merged.
First, retro, a reunion always boils down to going back in time. In the second place reto, the abbreviation of the word 'retorica', the last year of secondary education in Belgium and finally 1997, the year we all graduated at the 'Aangenomen College' of Sint-Truiden (B).
Retro 97 has been established Friday 31st July 1998 with one purpose: the organisation of reunions on a regular basis. Those meetings have to bring together the 15 students of the last year economics and modern languages who all completed their studies in Sint-Truiden at the end of June 1997.
We still count 15 members.
In the month of september 1998 our first reunion took place in Hasselt (B).
